Last minute wedding flowers were my first bridal flowers at Floral Dance
Last minute wedding flowers don’t have to be an added worry to your wedding plans which was the case when the lovely Christine from Ben Rhydding in Ilkley popped into Floral Dance two weeks before her wedding date to talk about her wedding flowers. She told me from the start she was sent on recommendations from a friend which was great to hear as I’d only been open two weeks!
She knew roughly the look and colours, and she was also influenced by the type of flowers that were on my flower stand. I think I helped sway her in the right direction on the complete design of the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids and buttonholes, and within 20 minutes the consultation was complete. I gave her the quote there and then and hay presto I had my first bride.
The feeling when she left the shop was excitement and nerves! I wanted it to look amazing and I think I achieved that. She came back to the shop after a couple of weeks to order some flowers and told me she cried when she saw them. That is the reason I love my job, making people smile and happy and what better way then through flowers!
